A panel is a survey that asks questions about priorities, perspective, and feelings to a group of people over a period of time. We believe this is the best way to understand and represent community voice in a deeper way than traditional data like the Census.

What’s a panel?

You can! Our ambitious goal is to recruit 10,000 residents from metro Atlanta over the next three years, and we’re well on our way. You can also share with your friends, family, and colleagues that live in the Metro area.

Who can join?

Participating in the panel is simple:

  1. Tell us about yourself by completing the Atlanta POV opt-in form

  2. Each month or so, you’ll receive another survey in your inbox

  3. Based on your responses (and if you said it’s okay in the opt-in form), we may reach out to see if you’re interested in an interview or focus group. This is how we learn more about your perspective.

  4. Every month, a random selection of respondents will receive a gift card for participating.

How does it work?

We’re happy for anyone to join the panel and answer monthly questions. Currently, we’re particularly focused on understanding five metro Atlanta counties—Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett—and neighborhoods within the City of Atlanta. As we get enough interest from other communities, we may expand our focus to additional Metro Atlanta Counties.

What counts as Metro Atlanta?

Yes! Trends and insights will only be shared as summary results, never individuals. Your demographic information and personal opinions will be securely protected.

Are my answers private?

The purpose of this initiative is to understand community voice in a way that doesn’t otherwise exist. We’ll be delivering our findings directly to our regional leaders—mayors, county commissioners, nonprofit leaders, and others. We’ll also share the results with panel participants like you!

Yes! Elected officials like Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens have committed to using the Atlanta POV panel data to understand trends and unique perspectives across the city’s diverse neighborhoods. Foundation leaders are using it to guide local philanthropic investments and grantmaking. And nonprofit leaders are using the information to design more effective and efficient programs for families across the region.

Yes. And not only is Atlanta POV free to join and contribute to, but you can actually earn rewards! When you complete the Atlanta POV opt-in form and surveys, a random selection of respondents will receive $25 gift cards each month.
